Wow! What an honest, refreshing dark take on the rom-com, fabulously directed
by David O. Russell (The Fighter), with great cinematography & great acting, the
young Lawrence facing off against veteran De Niro in one scene had me purring.
With on screen chemistry between Cooper & Lawrence rivaling that of
Bogart & Bacall and old timers De Niro & Weaver both producing the goods Silver Linings Playbook is a wonderful movie that is emotionally funny,
sometimes stressful but by the time the end credits role I guarantee you will
be grinning from ear to ear – 8.5/10

Tom Hardy, Chris Pine
Reese Witherspoon, Chelsea Handler
Two CIA Agents Foster (Pine) & Henson (Hardy)
who are also best friends begin dating the same
woman Scott (Witherspoon), to win the girl both
break protocol and use the agencies technology
to sabotage each others dates, all this whilst
trying to bring the bad guys to justice.
I like McG as a movies director his movies
always have lots of action, high on thrills
and usually have a great soundtrack, take CHARLIE ANGELS for example – a good
quality movie that has the lot – so I must ask
the question WHAT WAS HE THINKING
when taking on this pile of movie rubbish?
Reese Witherspoon I can accept in this type
of movie but why TOM “RocknRolla” HARDY the
guys who’s appeared in Bronson, Inception and Warrior would want to appear in this juvenile,
predictable & pointless rom-com is beyond me.
I would highly recommend anyone who reads
this mini-review TO AVOID this movie.
The action scenes are dreadful, McG’s direction
is down right lazy and the dialogue is some of
the worst I have witnessed in a movie for a
long time – & also Chelsea Handler is in it! 4.5/10
