Silver Linings Playbook “Scores On Doors”

SCORES ON DOORS

Wow! What an honest, refreshing dark take on the rom-com, fabulously directed
by David O. Russell (The Fighter), with great cinematography & great acting, the
young Lawrence facing off against veteran De Niro in one scene had me purring.

With on screen chemistry between Cooper & Lawrence rivaling that of
Bogart & Bacall and old timers De Niro & Weaver both producing the goods
Silver Linings Playbook is a wonderful movie that is emotionally funny,
sometimes stressful but by the time the end credits role I guarantee you will
be grinning from ear to ear – 8.5/10

SCORES ON DOORS

Having seen the stage show on broadway a few times I was going into the movie
already a tune to the musical numbers and familiar with the stories characters, this
helped but in fairness would not stop one enjoying this big screen adaption of
Les Misérables. The performances from Jackman, Hathaway & Crowe were all
top notch each showing sides of their acting prowess that are rarely displayed,
Jackman & Hathaway have been recently rewarded by the Academy with Oscar
nominations for their respective roles. Tom Hooper manages to capture the time
beautifully with sprawling set pieces & unusual camera angles.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable movie experience, that will have you singing
along, weeping in anguish & cheering for victory – I would highly recommend 8/10

this is a great cinematic experience that you just can’t stop thinking about!

PERKSOFBEINGAWALLFLOWER

8. THE PERKS OF BEING A WALL FLOWER

This movie was the surprise package of 2012, reminding me of a John Hughes picture
from the 80’s. Stephen Chbosky wrote and directed this wonderful story, just don’t go
into this thinking it’s just another high school flick, it centers on some important
social issues – real, emotional, yet fun!

TROUBLEWITHTHECURVE

he owns every scene he is in – truly wonderful!

DARKKNIGHTRISES

10. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

The final movie in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy seeing our superhero Batman up against
a new type of enemy Bane played brilliantly by Tom Hardy. In my opinion this is Nolan’s third best
Batman flick behind Batman Begins and Dark Knight but it’s still great cinema!

AMAZINGSPIDERMAN

11. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

“Oh how I hate movie remakes” i’ve been accused of muttering that was until June 2012
when I first clapped eye’s on Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield
and boy was I blown away, the thrilling action scenes & the dark mood I sensed throughout
had my spidey senses tingling for the sequel!

SAVAGES1111

12. SAVAGES

After a couple of average Oliver Stone movies – Wall Street 2 & W I am delighted to

movie following a Pot Growing Love Triangle, a Crooked Cop and a Drug Lord
all making for a damn good thriller!
